Routes and Distances
Nashik is about 210 km from central Pune. In normal traffic the drive takes 4.5 to 5 hours. During the Kumbh, the last 20 to 30 km into Nashik can take far longer on Amrit Snan days, so our drivers choose the route on the day based on traffic police advisories.
Route 1 | about 210 km | 4.5 to 5 hrs
Pune, Nashik Phata, Chakan, Rajgurunagar, Manchar, Narayangaon, Alephata, Sangamner, Sinnar and Nashik. The shortest and most used route, with plenty of food and fuel stops. This is our default route for Kumbh trips.
Route 2 | about 290 km | 6 to 6.5 hrs
Pune, Shikrapur, Shirur, Ahilyanagar, Rahuri, Shirdi, Sinnar and Nashik. Longer, but the best choice when your plan includes Sai Baba darshan at Shirdi, and a useful option when Route 1 is crowded near Sangamner.
Route 3 | about 330 km | 6.5 to 7.5 hrs
Pune, Mumbai Pune Expressway, Bhiwandi bypass, Kasara Ghat, Igatpuri and Nashik on the Mumbai Agra highway. Higher toll, but it enters Nashik from the west side, which can help for Trimbakeshwar or Igatpuri stays.
| Halt | Distance from Pune | Time from Pune | Useful for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chakan | about 35 km | 1 hr | Last city traffic point, early fuel stop |
| Manchar | about 60 km | 1.5 hrs | Tea and quick breakfast |
| Narayangaon | about 80 km | 2 hrs | Popular breakfast halt, clean restaurants |
| Alephata | about 95 km | 2.25 hrs | Junction for the Kalyan and Ahilyanagar roads |
| Sangamner | about 140 km | 3.25 hrs | Lunch halt, washrooms for elders |
| Sinnar | about 180 km | 4 hrs | Last stop before Nashik traffic and parking zones |
| Nashik | about 210 km | 4.5 to 5 hrs | Kumbh parking zone and shuttle to Ramkund |
| Pickup area | Approx. distance to Nashik | Pickup area | Approx. distance to Nashik |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bhosari and Moshi | 185 to 190 km | Shivajinagar and Pune Station | 205 to 210 km |
| Pimpri Chinchwad | 190 to 200 km | Viman Nagar and Kharadi | 205 to 210 km |
| Wakad and Hinjewadi | 200 to 210 km | Kothrud and Karve Nagar | 215 to 222 km |
| Baner and Aundh | 200 to 205 km | Hadapsar and Katraj | 220 to 230 km |
Distances are approximate road distances to central Nashik. Travelling as a small family by car? Our Pune to Nashik cab fare and route guide covers the car options in detail.
Day Wise Trip Plans
These are the plans our drivers run most often for the Simhastha. Timings are a guide for regular Kumbh days. On Amrit Snan days we start earlier and keep extra time for parking and shuttle queues.
1 Day | about 450 to 480 km
Best on regular days. We do not suggest a same day trip on Amrit Snan days.
2 Days | about 500 to 550 km
Our most booked Kumbh plan, covered in the 600 km package.
3 Days | about 600 km
Billed on the 300 km per day minimum. A relaxed pace that suits groups with elders. For a Shirdi only trip, see Force Urbania on rent for Shirdi.
4 Days | about 750 km
Ideal for the 11 and 12 September Amrit Snan, when Nashik and Trimbakeshwar bathe on back to back days.
Planning a regular Nashik trip outside the Kumbh period? See our Force Urbania on rent in Nashik page.
Kumbh Darshan Guide
Share the places you want to cover when you book, so the driver plans the day around parking zones and temple timings. These are the stops most Pune groups ask for.
The main Kumbh bathing ghat on the Godavari in Nashik, where the Amrit Snan processions of the akhadas take place. The evening Godavari aarti here is a highlight of any trip.
A historic temple of Lord Rama built in black stone, a short walk from Ramkund. Plan your visit before noon on busy days.
Sita Gufa is linked with the Ramayana, and Kapaleshwar Mahadev Mandir stands opposite Ramkund. Both are in the Panchavati walking zone.
The riverside area associated with Lakshman and the Ramayana. During the Simhastha, the sadhugram and akhada camps are planned around this area.
One of the 12 Jyotirlingas, about 30 km from Nashik, near the source of the Godavari at Brahmagiri. The second Kumbh venue with its own Amrit Snan days.
The sacred tank at Trimbakeshwar where the Shaiva akhadas take the Amrit Snan. Expect queues and walking on snan days.
Anjaneri, revered as the birthplace of Hanuman, is on the Nashik to Trimbakeshwar road. Brahmagiri hill is the origin of the Godavari, best for groups who can climb.
Muktidham in Nashik Road has replicas of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Saptashrungi Devi at Vani, about 60 km away, is one of the Shakti Peethas and has a funicular for elders.
Parking and Traffic Plan
This matters more than the vehicle you choose, and most travel pages leave it out. The Nashik Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela Authority has planned a three tier system so the areas around Ramkund and Trimbakeshwar temple stay pedestrian zones.
Tier 1
Private and rented vehicles stop at designated parking lots on the main highways into Nashik and Trimbakeshwar. On peak Amrit Snan days, only the outer parking zones are planned to operate.
Tier 2
From the parking lots, shuttle buses carry pilgrims to drop points near the ghats. The state has planned a network of thousands of buses linking parking hubs and railway stations.
Tier 3
The last stretch to Ramkund, Panchavati and Kushavarta Kund is on foot. Plan for walking and waiting time, especially with elders and children.

A 2 day Nashik and Trimbakeshwar trip of 600 km starts at about βΉ7,800 for a sedan, βΉ16,800 for a 17 seater tempo traveller and βΉ42,000 for a 50 seater bus. Toll, parking and driver night charges are extra.
For a full vehicle on a 2 day, 600 km trip, the base fare works out to about βΉ840 per person in a 50 seater bus, βΉ900 to βΉ990 in a 17 or 20 seater tempo traveller, βΉ1,165 to βΉ1,600 in a Force Urbania and βΉ1,500 to βΉ2,100 in a car. Toll and parking are extra.
The announced Amrit Snan dates are 2 August 2027, 31 August 2027 and 11 September 2027 at Ramkund in Nashik, with the third Amrit Snan at Trimbakeshwar on 12 September 2027. The Simhastha began on 31 October 2026 and ends on 24 July 2028. Dates can be revised, so we confirm them at booking.
Nashik is about 210 km from central Pune. The drive takes 4.5 to 5 hours in normal traffic via Chakan, Narayangaon, Sangamner and Sinnar. On Amrit Snan days the final stretch into Nashik can take much longer, so we plan early departures.
The Pune Nashik highway via Sangamner and Sinnar, about 210 km, is the shortest and our default. The route via Ahilyanagar and Shirdi, about 290 km, suits trips that include Shirdi. The Expressway and Kasara Ghat route, about 330 km, enters Nashik from the west and can help for Trimbakeshwar or Igatpuri stays.
No. The Kumbh Mela Authority plans to stop private and rented vehicles at outer parking zones on peak snan days. Pilgrims then use MSRTC shuttle buses to drop points and walk the last stretch. Your driver parks at the assigned lot and stays with the vehicle.
Book as soon as your snan date and stay are fixed. For the 2 August, 31 August and 11 and 12 September Amrit Snan dates, booking several months ahead is safest, especially for Urbania, 17 to 26 seater tempo travellers and large buses.
On regular days, yes. Leave Pune by about 4 am and you can finish Ramkund darshan and be home by night. On Amrit Snan days we suggest at least 2 days, because outer parking, shuttle queues and walking add many hours.
A Force Urbania 12+1 or 13+1 Driver gives the most comfortable ride for families and elders. A 13 seater Tata Winger or 13 seater tempo traveller costs less. For 14 or 15 people with luggage, a 16+1 Urbania or a 17 seater tempo traveller is the better fit.
For small families, the Innova Crysta or Innova Hycross. For groups, the Force Urbania, with reclining captain seats, individual AC vents and an easy entry step. Tell us if anyone uses a wheelchair or walker so we keep space for it.
Yes. We have SML mini buses from 17 to 32 seats and AC luxury buses with 40, 45 and 50 seats. For groups above 50 we arrange two or more vehicles with one common pickup point and departure time.
Toll, parking including Kumbh parking lots, any permit and the driver night charge on multi day trips are paid at actuals. Fuel, AC and the driver are included. Every charge is explained in the quote before you confirm.
Yes. Trimbakeshwar is about 30 km from Nashik, Saptashrungi about 60 km and Shirdi about 90 km. A 3 day trip covers Nashik, Trimbakeshwar and Shirdi, and a 4 day trip adds Saptashrungi Devi at Vani.
Yes. The same vehicle and driver stay with your group for the whole trip, including local movement between Nashik, Trimbakeshwar and other temples. A driver night charge applies for each night.
Yes. We pick up from every part of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, including Karve Nagar, Kothrud, Baner, Hinjewadi, Wakad, Hadapsar, Kharadi, Bhosari and Chakan.
Most groups stay in Nashik city, near Trimbakeshwar, or in Igatpuri if Nashik is fully booked. Book your stay before the vehicle and tell us the address, so the driver plans the shortest route to the right parking zone.
Yes. The Simhastha runs from 31 October 2026 to 24 July 2028, and the ghats and temples are open for darshan throughout. Non snan days are calmer, cheaper to book and better for elders and children.
All our cars, Urbania vans, Tata Wingers, tempo travellers and buses are AC vehicles. Each vehicle is cleaned and checked before every trip and is GPS tracked.
