Planning a group trip from Pune to Shirdi? This complete...
Read MoreTravelling with 14 to 16 people? Splitting the group into two cars means two drivers, two fuel bills and someone always waiting at the next stop. Book a 16 seater Force Urbania on rent in Pune from Shelke Travels and your whole group rides together in one AC, push-back cabin with one experienced driver, starting at ₹33 per km.
The 16 seater is the largest Force Urbania we run. It is the long-wheelbase Urbania, with a taller and wider cabin than a regular tempo traveller, so a big group can sit upright, stretch a little and still keep their bags on board. For weddings, large families, pilgrimage groups and full office teams, it means everyone travels together on one plan instead of coordinating two or three vehicles.
Shelke Travels provides the 16 seater Urbania with a professional driver for local city use, airport transfers and multi-day outstation tours from Pune. Share your date, pickup point and route, and we will send you a clear written quote.
Comfortable seating
AC cabin
Luggage space
One driver, one plan
Our 16 seater is the long-wheelbase Force Urbania, configured for 16 passengers plus the driver. It is the biggest Urbania layout available in Pune, and we share the exact seating layout and vehicle photos with you before every booking.
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Vehicle | Force Urbania (long wheelbase) |
| Seating | 16 passengers + 1 driver |
| Air conditioning | Yes, with roof AC vents for every row |
| Seats | Push-back reclining seats |
| Charging points | Yes |
| Luggage | Rear luggage area and overhead space (tell us your bag count when booking) |
| Best for | Weddings, corporate offsites, pilgrimages, big family trips |
| Driver | Experienced, with valid badge and permit |

Best for a smaller group of 7 to 9 who still want Urbania-level AC comfort without paying for empty seats.

For groups of 10 to 13 who want the same Urbania comfort but don’t need all 16 seats.

Ideal for 10 to 12 people – family outings, office trips and airport transfers at ₹32 per km.
We are a Pune-based operator, and the Force Urbania on rent in Pune is a vehicle we run every week, not one we arrange through someone else. With a 16 seater, where one vehicle carries your entire group, that reliability matters even more.
Our own vehicles, regularly serviced. Each Urbania is checked before it leaves – AC, tyres, brakes and seat belts – so your group is not left waiting on a highway.
Drivers who know the routes. Our drivers handle the Lonavala and Varandha ghats, the Mahabaleshwar curves and Pune city traffic daily. They are verified, uniformed and used to driving families and senior citizens.
A clear quote upfront. We share the per-km rate, minimum km, driver allowance, toll and parking terms before you confirm, so the final bill matches what you were told.
One number to call. From booking to drop-off, you speak to the same team. If plans change on the road, we adjust pickup times or stops without fuss.
Clean, comfortable cabin. The vehicle is cleaned before every trip, with charging points, push-back seats and space for 16 people’s bags.
Spec sheets can only say so much, so here is what groups usually notice after a few hours on the road. The cabin is quieter than an older tempo traveller, so 16 people can talk without shouting and children are more likely to sleep through the Expressway stretch. The high roof means you can stand and move to your seat without bending double, and the seats hold your back better on long drives. The suspension handles state highway bumps without throwing people around. None of this makes a six hour drive short, but your group steps out at the other end less tired than expected.
Rates depend on the route, the number of days and the distance covered. Here is how our pricing is structured:
| Service | Rate | What’s included |
|---|---|---|
| Local use (8 hrs / 80 km) | ₹10,500 | Driver, fuel |
| Outstation | ₹33 per km | Driver, fuel |
| Airport / Mumbai transfer | ₹15,000 | Driver, fuel |
Good to know: Toll, parking and state tax are charged at actuals, and the driver allowance is ₹1,000 extra per day. A minimum daily running applies on outstation trips, and we mention it clearly in your quote. Split between 16 people, the 16 seater usually works out cheaper per head than booking two smaller vehicles. If you are travelling on a tighter budget, you can also look at our tempo traveller on rent in Pune.
Most of our 16 seater bookings are outstation trips for big groups. These are the routes people ask for most. Distances and timings are approximate, since traffic and road conditions change them.
Lonavala and Khandala (about 65 km, 2 hours). The classic weekend escape. In monsoon, viewpoints get crowded by mid-morning, so an early start makes the day far more pleasant.
Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani (about 120 km, 3 to 3.5 hours). A favourite for family holidays and strawberry season. The ghat section needs a driver who knows the curves, so we assign drivers with hill experience on this route.
Shirdi (about 185 km, 4.5 to 5.5 hours). Many groups leave late at night to reach in time for the morning darshan, while others do a same-day return. Tell us your plan and we’ll set the pickup time to suit it.
Mumbai and Mumbai Airport (about 150 km, 3 to 4 hours). Via the Expressway. If you’re catching a flight, leave with a generous buffer, because traffic near Mumbai is hard to predict.
Goa (about 450 km, 9 to 11 hours). A long drive, so we plan it as a 3 to 5 day trip with proper rest stops for the driver.
Mixed-age groups need a little more planning than a group of friends. With 16 seats, there is room to give older travellers the front rows, where getting in and out is easier and the ride feels steadier, while children sit in the middle rows within reach of their parents. Build in a stop every two hours or so, so grandparents can stretch their legs and everyone gets a tea or restroom break. Tell us the ages in your group when you book, and we’ll suggest a seating plan and a realistic timeline. A trip that runs half an hour longer but stays relaxed is almost always better than a rushed one.
Weddings are where one badly planned vehicle can disturb an entire day. Guests arrive at different times, the venue is often hard to find, and nobody wants to stand outside a hotel waiting for a ride. A 16 seater Urbania for weddings in Pune moves an entire side of the family, or the baraat, in one trip. Share the schedule with us in advance – station or airport pickup times, hotel names, venue address and the return time – and we’ll plan the driver’s day around your timeline instead of treating each trip separately. For multi-day weddings, we keep the same vehicle and driver with you throughout, so guests always know who to look for.
Companies in Hinjewadi, Kharadi, Magarpatta and Baner often organise one-day offsites at resorts around Pune, and a single 16 seater for a team of fourteen to sixteen keeps the logistics clean. Everyone arrives together, the team lead doesn’t have to chase people for pickup points, and the return happens at a time that suits the schedule. Office travel desks usually want clear paperwork, so we provide a GST invoice and a written trip summary on request. For recurring needs such as monthly client visits or airport pickups for visiting executives, ask us about a regular booking arrangement.
The Ashtavinayak yatra covers eight Ganesh temples spread across Pune, Raigad and Ahmednagar districts, and doing it properly takes planning more than anything else. Most groups choose a two or three day circuit, starting from Pune and returning with all eight darshans done, but the order of the temples matters because of temple timings and the roads between them. With 16 seats, the whole family or mandal travels together. We help groups plan the sequence, estimate the driving time and decide where to stop for meals and rest. For other pilgrimage routes, such as Shirdi, Tuljapur, Jejuri and Pandharpur, the same principle applies: tell us when the darshan is, and we’ll work backwards to set the pickup time.
You don’t always need a long trip. Pune has plenty of places that work well as a day outing or an easy overnight stay for a big group. Sinhagad Fort and Lonavala are close enough for a half-day plan. Lavasa and Panshet suit a relaxed lunch-and-lake outing, and Bhimashankar combines a temple visit with a forest drive. Further out, Alibaug and Kashid are popular for sea-facing weekend stays, and Mahabaleshwar is ideal for a two-day family break. For any of these, we can suggest a route and a start time that avoids the worst of the weekend traffic.
A group arriving at Pune Airport or Pune Railway Station with fifteen or sixteen people and a mountain of luggage is exactly where a single large vehicle makes sense. We track your flight or train timing, so the driver is waiting when you arrive, even if the schedule shifts. For departures, leave earlier than you think, especially on weekday mornings and evenings when traffic towards the airport is heavy. If you’re connecting onward by road, such as to Mumbai or Shirdi, combine the airport pickup and the onward journey in a single booking so you don’t change vehicles.
Many popular routes from Pune, including Mahabaleshwar, Lonavala and the Konkan side, involve ghat sections where the road is narrow, steep and often wet. In a longer vehicle like the 16 seater, experience matters more than speed. Our drivers slow down on curves, keep a safe distance on downhill stretches and avoid overtaking in fog or heavy rain. During the monsoon, start early and keep a flexible schedule, because landslide warnings, waterlogging and slow traffic can add an hour or more. If the forecast looks bad for your date, tell us and we’ll help you decide whether to leave a day earlier or later.
Not sure about group size? Tell us how many people and how many bags, and we’ll tell you whether the 16 seater is right or whether a smaller Urbania suits you better.
Our 16 seater Urbania is available at ₹33 per km for outstation trips, plus a driver allowance of ₹1,000 per day. For example, a 300 km trip works out to ₹9,900 for the distance plus ₹1,000 allowance, so ₹10,900 in total before toll and parking. Local use is ₹10,500 for 8 hours / 80 km.
The rate is ₹33 per km, charged on the total kilometres from the time the vehicle leaves Pune until it returns. Local city use is priced separately at ₹10,500 for 8 hours / 80 km, and a Pune to Mumbai airport transfer is ₹15,000.
The ₹1,000 is the driver allowance, which covers the driver’s food and stay for each day of the trip, especially on overnight and multi-day outstation journeys. You don’t need to arrange separate meals or a room for the driver.
No. Toll, parking and inter-state permit charges are paid at actuals. We mention them clearly in the quote, so there are no surprises on the road. Ask us for a toll estimate in advance for the Mumbai–Pune Expressway or Goa.
Yes. Every booking comes with an experienced driver who holds a valid licence and badge. We share the driver’s name and phone number before pickup, so you know who to expect.
It seats 16 passengers plus the driver in push-back seats. If you are carrying heavy luggage, tell us the number of bags when you book so we can confirm everything fits without crowding the cabin.
Yes. It is our most popular choice for wedding guest transfers, baraat movement, corporate offsites and pilgrimage groups because the entire group travels in one vehicle with one driver and one schedule. GST invoices are available for company bookings.
Yes, outstation trips are our most common booking. We run the Urbania from Pune to Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar, Shirdi, Mumbai, Goa, Nashik, Kolhapur, Alibaug and across Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka.
For 14 to 16 people, the 16 seater is the right choice. For 10 to 12 people, the 12 seater Urbania is more economical, and for exactly 13 the 13 seater Urbania fits best. Smaller groups of up to 9 can book the 9 seater Urbania.
Yes, you can arrange pickups from more than one location, such as Hinjewadi, Baner, Kothrud and Pimpri-Chinchwad, for the same trip. Share all the addresses in advance, and we’ll plan the route so pickups don’t delay your departure.

I had a great experience with Shelke Tours and Travels during our recent family trip. We were a group of 10 including kids and elders, and everything was managed very smoothly. The vehicle (Tata Winger) was in excellent condition – clean, well-maintained, and comfortable for long journeys. The seating was spacious enough for our group, and the overall cleanliness was really impressive throughout the trip. A special mention to the driver( Satish Danane )– he was extremely polite, patient, and professional. His driving skills were excellent, especially on ghat roads and long stretches, which made us feel very safe and relaxed. He was also very cooperative with our stops and ensured everyone, especially kids and elders, was comfortable. Overall, a very reliable and hassle-free service. Highly recommended for family trips. Will definitely choose them again in future!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
